Trade Accelerator Program (TAP)
The PARO Centre for Women Enterprise is partnering with the World Trade Centre Toronto to deliver a Trade Accelerator Program cohort, dedicated to Women who meet the requirements for exporting across borders. This is a free government-funded program that gets businesses export-ready and/or develops current export plans. (See Requirements below to see if you qualify)
Discover – Participate in workshops that familiarize you with available exporting resources and introduce you to the key components and challenges of international trade, exchanging ideas and experiences with advisors and peers along the way. Develop – Receive hands-on support from leading Canadian export advisors in the development of an export plan – tackling key sections of that plan such as strategic objectives, market entry methods, international marketing and supply chains. Build – Have the full support of advisors in developing an export plan that is realistic, high-quality and fully integrated with an overall business strategy. All export plans receive a written assessment from our team of experts. Accelerate: Focus on mentoring, constructive feedback and reinforcing business relationships. After reviewing the export plan, receive individual mentoring sessions from our expert partners where potential solutions and ways forward are explored. TAP graduates have realized their global potential, reporting an average of 18% growth since attending, and 69% of participants are now exporting in markets like China, India, Mexico, Japan, the U.K., Italy, Sweden and the U.S. Several of our PARO women featured in our Exporting Toolkit have recommended the TAP program as a great investment of their time to get export ready with a solid plan. The outcome of this program is a customized strategic export business plan carefully vetted by top industry experts. Investment: Participants must be willing to attend all scheduled sessions of this free government-funded program. This is a hybrid program, the first and last sessions may be attended in person if you are able to attend. Otherwise, participants are able to attend virtually all sessions.
